TFT to the rescue!

Here are some pictures of the TFTs that we have been lucky enough to rescue.  They have all been wonderful dogs and we look forward to getting to help out many more of our little buddies in the future!

This is Cozmo.  He was our first rescue and we decided to keep him.  Actually, we got him to keep in the first place.  One TFT is never enough ;)  He has gone from shivering and having accidents from being so scared of people, to not being happy unless you are holding/petting/rubbing on him!!   He has been a great addition to our family.

zippi2.jpg (63575 bytes)

This is Zippi.  He was our first rescue that we intended on placing somewhere other than in our home ;)  He was/is a very good dog and had almost no behavior problems whatsoever.  We placed him with another family who contributes to the TFT mailing list.  They drove all the way down from Michigan to pick him up at our house in Indiana.  They have been very happy with Zippi and we were very happy to see him find a good home.  At first I was looking forward to only having our two guys in the house again, but we missed Zippi when he was gone.  I'm sure he's very happy now in his permanent home.

jinx2.jpg (47062 bytes)

This is our boy Jinx.  He is the oldest TFT we have been involved with at 5 years of age.  He was flown to us from Alabama and I picked him up at the airport!!  He has not had any kind of training or discipline and it shows.  He got used to our dogs in about a week or so, but he also had some aggression issues with people.  He tries to bite if someone else approaches when he is near one of his "owners".  We're working with him to be a better boy tough and he's coming along quite nicely.  He likes to sleep in the bed and is going to make someone a fine pet.  We are going to meet his possible new owner on Sept. 4th.

tiny4.jpg (13501 bytes)

This is Tiny.  He came to us early in '00 from a local family.  He was only about 8 mos. old at the time and was chewing on stuff that his owners didn't want him to be chewing on... so they gave him up to rescue.   He was very spunky, but a load of fun!  He has coloring very similar to our Bimmer and we believe he may have come from the same "breeder" in our state of Indiana.  I'm using the term "breeder" in it's broadest definition...   We placed Tiny with a loving couple from the Chicago area a few weeks later and he's reported to be doing very well in his new home!

punkin_new2.jpg (28476 bytes)

This is Punkin!  She has been our favorite rescue to date as she was an absolute doll!  Her Mom could not spend adequate time with Punkin and wanted her to have a better home.  I have a lot of admiration for that decision as it had to be very difficult.  Punkin was a little over 1 and 1/2 years at the time of this photo (9/00) which was taken the day that her new family was driving down 7 hours from Michigan to pick her up!  We're going to miss her a lot!
